Dave, Suzuki and Hayashi's cousins are Mj%:I and /2L~2I. Very difficult to pronounce in any language I know of…. Now that there is a 200 available, I can download, run and verify programs for the 200 prior to merging, if you wish, and if you point them out to me. Going back to saving to cassette is a REAL DRAG after using the Chipmunk with the Model 100 for so long. And while file transfer from the 100 to the 200 is a snap through the RS232 port, going from the 200 to the 100 don't work (yet). Suspect the 200 wants some "handshaking" that my cable doesn't provide. Will explore that further, and report when successful. Initial 200 response: Characters on the screen SEEM larger, due in part to slightly different dot matrix on some letters, noticably the upper case D. Of course the larger display "opens up" the viewing window, and creates a psychologically larger appearance. Even though there is a larger RAM directory (allowing for 46 entries), the more limited RAM space (about 19K) doesn't really allow you to load more programs and files, unless they are small programs and short files. For anyone wishing to delete ADDRSS and SCHEDL program names (useless programs, in my opinion; but probably very useful to others), the following two pokes will make them invisible: POKE 62067,184:POKE 62078,184 More stuff later.

Tony: Methinks that after the initial exuberance [NEW TOY!] has worn off that a very THOROUGH comparison would be a GREAT boon to us all. As of the moment, all we have is M200.EVL and the 28K TANDY.200 in DL 6. Listening … .^Dave^.

Agree. Will keep it on the back burner for a week or so, but there are differences, and a comparison file is a good idea.
