I downloaded the program CLAZ2.ARC so I could send my art to a local printer
who has an Applewriter. The problems I am having are the background not coming
out white, but grey. And the main problem is that the fonts are coming out
exactly as they looked on the DPII screen. In other words, the letters have
jaggies on them instead of being smooth. The fonts are Zuma fonts (barn, pica,
Swiss, etc.) Do I need laser compatible fonts or something similar? I am just
now reading Postscript language reference from Adobe systems so dont know much
about Postscript and neither does the printer. Any help will be appreciated.

The author wrote CLAZ2 to produce a grey background on purpose. He claims
that pictures look better that way. He also included the source code so that
you could change it if you want (and if you have a compiler).
The program is designed to make a picture look good on a laser printer, and
does this by providing the appropriate patterns for each colour/density.
Unfortunately, text is reproduced faithfully, jaggies and all.
