#Moving on

I gave all this stupidity up several weeks ago. This message is via Intel
486/DX2/60mHz (fast) 1/2G HDD, 4mb memory (more to come soon), etc..
Don't get me wrong: I love the Amiga, still think it is the best in
usability, user-friendliness, capability, etc.; the plain fact is
that I need available, supportable hardware and software, now. I
cannot afford to wait through seemingly endless reruns of rumours and
innuendo, "have it on certain authority" that names no names, and
endless hours and bytes of musing and maybes.
Someday hence, when things have settled, and the Amiga is back, and I
have the time and the money, I'll return (if the spirit and intent of
the new Amiga a close to the original). Until then, let's all hope
for the best.
Thanks for the memories, Amiga!
To each his own. I've got a 486/DX2/66mHz (dog slow) 1/2G+ HHD, 16mb, etc.
It is slow (as compared to my 4000), unfriendly, Windows multitasking is a
joke, the graphics stink (my son plays X-Wing on it, really lowres junk).
It does have some nice software and the TV card is a great time waster.
Charles, even I own a 486DX/33 with 540 and 120MB HD's, 32MB RAM,
Sound Blaster, CD-ROM, 14.4 Modem, 250MB tape drive, and SVGA running
OS/2 Warp. I still have 3 Amigas (A500, A1200, A2000) and I am
writing this with AutoPilot 🙂
