REX! Good to see another IIgs owner here. I recently bought an Amiga 500 myself and had all the same problems you are about to go through hooking it up to my IIgs peripherals. I have 3 switchboxes, one for the monitor, one for the printer (ImageWriterII), and one for the modem. The pinouts for the monitor are pretty simple: Monitor A500 ——- —- 1,6,13 ——————– 16 2 ——————– 3 5 ——————– 4 9 ——————– 5 3 ——————– 10 The connector for the monitor is a DB-25. On the Amiga end, it is a DB-23. Unfortunately, there ain't no such thing as a DB-23 (or at least that's what every electronics parts house in existence will tell you!). I solved this by picking up a DB-25 female connector from radio shack (one of the blue plastic ones) and sawing it down with a hacksaw. It didn't take very long and works perfectly. If you need any more help, just let me know. The worst part was getting getting the proper pinouts for the printer, which I am running off of the parallel port with a parallel-serial converter. If you want a switchbox for the monitor, the best place to find one is Black Box.
