Gee… PCLO is the most stable program _I_ know of…. <grin>

Yep, I've heard good stuff about PCLO too…. Drae and Draw plus check the "state" of the Amiga (memory avalable and fragmentation) continiously. Not fun but 1.0 required it. I've never seen a Draw Plus crash…

We just allocate everything we need, first. If we get it, then the only thing that can crash the system is an external program. Which, I'm sure you agree, doesn't count. –Ben–

Every action in Draw or Draw Plus does some allocation and/or deallocation. For example a line is a linked list of poly-points pointed to by a graphics element which itself sits on a linked list of other graphics elements and may be sitting on a linked list of drawings, or even on a linked list of parts within a drawing. Each poly-point, element, whatever is allocated on the fly. When you do {_a copy/cut/paste 100's to 1000's of memory allocations and deallocations are taking place. Why? Because as designer it's my LISP background showaing thru…. Besides it makes UNDO easy.
