Beg to differ. RLL has nothing to do with "sector layouts". RLL is not MFM. RLL is a BIT ENCODING scheme which stretches the limits of the number of consecutive zeroes or ones which are written to the disk. If you dig around you should be able to find some technical information on RLL. If you can't, yell and I'm sure someone here can give you the gory details.
