Snyders, here is an explanation of the differences in the different
versions of Adobe Illustrator 88. Version 1.5 was the first release and
production was stopped due to an incompatibility with Apple's new System
6.0. Version 1.6 fixes the problem found in 1.5. There is, however, an
incompatibility with certain kinds of monitors. AI88 will not run on single
bit per pixel monitors. Version 1.7 fixes the monitor problem. Apple's
system 6.1 probably fixes the problem found with 1.5 (just for your info.)
