I think CBM picked BIX only because they offered the most "free flags" for
use by separate CBM people. On the order of 25, I hear. Plus, they
offered support forums for anyone who wanted them. Plus, about half the
people on BIX at that time were on complimentary accounts, so I've heard. I
don't think other nets were able to make comparable offers. So they went to
BIX.
