SELECT is an output from the Amiga to the printer…it goes to pin
#36 on the Centronics interface. On most, if not all Epsons, there is a
DIP switch setting to tell the printer to honor or ignore SELECT. If I
were you, I'd leave pin 13 out of the cable and set the DIP to ignore
SELECT.
