Once I brought the sculpt image into turbo I found (as you knew) that there was
no order to the assignment of the points and usingt the next command was not
helpful in choosing faces. Is there some way to reorder the points?
Also, can you choose a subgroup of faces or points from an object and save it
as a seperate object? (I assume you would first have to group the points with
another axis).

Shalom – first go into point mode. holding the left shift key down, pick the
points in the order you want them, and select "sort" from the menu that will
re-order the points.
