I must disagree with you. Both Modula-2 AND Pascal have gained some ground
over the years. C is alot older than Modula-2 and has been the de-facto
language on Unix, making it very popular. Just because a language is more
popular than another doesn't mean it's better. Look at COBOL. There is
probably more software written in COBOL than in any other language. And
businesses STILL use COBOL (yeacchh!). If you follow the trade magazine you
must have notice the sudden appearance of a few Modula-2 compilers for the PC.
The competition is on, and the market is changing…
