HELP Hi, Under file transfer I've selected the Xmodem protocol. I enter the library and find a file that I want to download. Then I type'CHOICES' and select the Xmodem protocol in Compuserve. Then in AmigaTerm I pull down the project menu and select 'receive file',then I name the file(i.e. Test) and hit the OK box. Then I get two lines 'Xmodem Test file open' and 'Xmodem ready for transfer' ,then nothing happens and Compuserve waits for the <CR> to indicate end of transfer. By nothing happens Imean that after 1 or 2 minutes my disk hasn't recorded anything nor do I get any indication that anything is being downloaded

Jeff, Wait until you get the 'Ready to send file…enter <CR> when done' message (or something similar) from CIS before you select RECEIVE FILE from AmigaTERM..that should do the trick. Don

Jeffrey, OK, when at a file, (I'm assuming you're BROwsing the lib) and you get the disposition prompt/menu, type DOW. CIS should then display the protocol choices for you. Select Xmodem. CIS will prompt "Waiting…hit CR when done." Now, start your download from your end. If you already know the filename, the most direct way is to enter the lib, and type DOW <filename>/proto:xmodem. CIS will go directly to the 'waiting' prompt, and you should then start things on your end. Doug
