Any memory expansion will allow for more memory for graphics by simply
loading stuff that would normally take up precious CHIP (the lower 512K of
memory accessible by the graphics chips) into FAST (the higher memory
locations, not accessbile by the special chips) This enables the system to
place only what _needs_ to be in CHIP there, freeing up more space for you to
use.
Also, slated for the 1.4 DOS upgrade some time in the future is a new chipset
that will expand CHIP memory to 1 MEG.
There are a great many memory expanders out there, ranging from CBM's to a
varitey of third party expanders. I won't take it upon myself to list them, as
I don't know which machine you're using. Be aware that if you're using the 500,
expansion beyond 1 MEG may require an external or replacement power supply to
enable it to keep up with the new power demand safely.
