Thanks for the news re:VD1. I'll call you when it comes. I can't find any sort command on the menus or referenced in the manual. My question about children following parent was in reference to the follow me command. What happens if the parent is grouped correctly to the children and you use Story for a rotation whithout clicking on the follow me option. What should happen? (I'm going to try it out in a few minutes but this was just to explain what I was wondering about.) By the way I left a question for John Foust about preserving color info after conversion from Sculpt. Initially I used the Point reduce module and thought I lost the color info. I was wrong. I'm not sure what I did but now things are working the way there suppose to. Question: does the join command in Turbo do the same thing?

The follow me option is to have a number of objects follow a lead object around a path, without having to assign seperate stories and paths to each object. A good example is a rollercoaster. Have the lead car follow a path, and use the "follow me" for the other cars to follow the lead car and maintain their distance. The Join command "WELDS" 2 objects together. COlors should remainm but properties of the 2nd object can be lost, as the JOIN make 2 objects into 1 new object. Therefore if you Join a Glass object to a non-glass one, you will lose the glass attribute as one object cannot be composed partly of glass.
