I hear rumors that the new Lattice 5.0, to be released in the next week or so, has some special features that are supposed to make it easier to write RESIDENT-compatible code, or reentrant code, or whatever. Know anything about that?

Nope, I've heard a lot of rumour-level stuff about it (Yes! Now Does Windows and Walks the Dog!) but nothing solid about it. I do understand it will be _very_ ANSI compatible (or at least capable of being so) and will make some lovely code under C++ Other than that I have little idea of what it will 'really' be like. Oh, one thing I'm 98% sure of is that it will be able to use precompiled headers which will quiet those cries of "Manx Rules OK!" a bit. 8)
