#Memory and A2000 rev 6

I just learded something strange today: MicroBotic's 8UP! and possibly any
other memory board do *NOT* Aftre having problems installing them here in
our Agnus equipped A2000 I decided to give MicroBotics a call to see what
was wrong and they told me that the problem was from the 254×4 chips
Commodore is using on their motherboard… it cause problems on the BUS and
that's why the 8UP! work in should NOT in the A2000 revision 6… They tolk
me that Commodore is now awared of that problem and now looking for a fix!
Is that possible!? They told me that *NO* memory board will work in those
Amiga!!!!!!! Any comments???
Unless the problem is current surge on the power bus or coupling of signals
into the bus, the 256Kx4 Drams shouldn't be affecting anything. I've got
the Rev 6 schematics and there isn't anything logically wrong. For the
heck of it, try changing 68000s from an older working A2000 (or a 68010)
and see if that makes a difference.
According to a conversation I had with Microbotics, it is exactly
that. With the rev. 6.x motherboards there is a spike on one of the bus
lines (I'd give more details, but that's about the limit of my
understanding. I'm not a hardware person 😉
