Anyone, I have finally started playing around with the IPAS routines bundled with R3. I have run into a problem when experimenting with Tuber.axp. During rendering as soon as the render gets to (creating procedural objects) the rendering terminates and returns to the 3d editor interface. Rendering works fine when using the geometry file (tuber.3ds) that is used in the advanced user guide. I'm doing somthing wrong but do not know where. I have critiqued the demo in the advanced user guide and I still can't figure it out. It seems to be fairly easy, but of course. Thank you much… Paul J. NPD Corp.

Hi Paul, << tuber blues.. >> I'd have to see the *.3ds file. However, I found this example in the libs and I'd like to know how it works for you.. Hi again Paul, << tuber…>> In addition, you may want to use tuber2 instead of tuber…. File Info for TUBER2.ZIP Section: IPAS Usage Contributor: 76702,413 Size: 30209 Submitted: 12/4/93 Type: Binary Accesses: 452 Title: Enhanced version of 3DSr3 tuber.axp ipas routine. Keys: TUBER2.AXP IPAS3 SKELETAL ANIMATION ROUTINE 3DSR3 This zip file contains an enhanced version of tuber.axp (that ships with 3DSr3) called tuber2.axp. Tuber2 "knows about" hierarchies and instances in the keyframer, so it's easier to use and more flexible than the shipping tuber.axp. Also included is an example .3ds file that illustrates these enhancements. Requires 3DSr3 to run. From Yost Group, Inc.
