The PM "Preferences" menu may not help all that much. Having gone through many screen drivers (the screen driver change requires reinstalling Windows; if you have hard disk space, try installing two versions, and comparing them for a few days) and printer drivers (average cost to find one major bug: $400 in time and/or labor. Why a printer driver should affect screen display, I don't know, but it can and does. Micrographix especially! Most stable driver: Adlus 3.1, released by Microsoft) I think your problem may be the Sigma monitor driver routines, if these are "custom" for the display. It is undocumented, but normal, for Windows/Pagemaker to grab only the 5 or 6 font sizes that are bitmapped for the font; which one it grabs seems to depend on screen display size (i.e. 50%/75%/200%) as well as "real" point size selected. Different screen drivers have better luck at ignoring or exacerbating the problem, but the net result is: Rarely, if ever, will you get accurate screen fonts in all screen display sizes. The only workaround is to set the preferences menu for the maximum "vector above" size of 127 points, set "stretch above" to where it bothers you least, and when all else is said and done, go to a different screen view when you must.
