Dear Betty, I'm still struggling with Autopilot. I typed Dir work:
downloads and found that I have Ap.lha and other files. I typed Dir
c:l#?—I got Lha with the workd "list" behind it. I got the word
Load WB—with the word Lock behind it. I have Lha in c. I renamed
the drawer AutoPilot. But I am stuck on Copy
work:downlod\ads:lha:c—I get Insert Downloads in any drawive and
device not mounted. Then on cd dh0:autopilot—lha x
dwork:downloads:ap.lha—I get unalble to open archive.
I'm also confuesed in the beginning of your directions where you say "now you
must unpack the ap.lha and apdocs.lha–I don't know how to do that and I'm not
sure if the paragraphs to follow that direction are the ways to do that–or if
I am to do tahhat before I do the suffesuggestions in the paragpraphs that
follow. I must need tohe directions numbered. Sorry, I can only understand
directions if I firest kst know something about the process.
Let's try again.
From your message, I think you have:
LHA in the C: directory
AP.LHA in the Work:downloads directory
An empty directory, Work:AutoPilot with a drawer icon for the directory
From here, type:
CD Work:AutoPilot
LHA x work:Downloads/AP.LHA
Then, find the icon for the AutoPilot directory and click on it.
Inside that window, find the Icon that says INSTALL, and click on
it.
Press Return when the Install program asks you questions.
When you have finished with the Install script, you should have
AutoPilot properly installed and ready for you to do the setup.
Joan, please be careful with your spelling. It must be EXACTLY the
same each time. Be sure you don't add any spaces or spell a filename
differently from the way you have it in the directory. I notice that
you are not always consistent with these in your messages, and you
MUST be consistent when giving commands.
