#A3000 tech questions

Tim, this is primarily your dealers fault. He should have known. That's
what a dealer is for. Someone posted (I think on usenet) that he had
ordered the A3000 and BB via the educational discount plan and that
Commodore REJECTED his order for the BB because the two didn't work well
together. It is obviously Commodore's policy that currently the two aren't
to be used together.
BTW, mounting the 5.25" externally is MUCH easier than what you are
currently going through.

My wife DID order the A3000 and BB through the educational package offer
and CBM shipped us both of them.
CBM also claims in its ads for the system that it will work with BB's!
I have owned everything from a Pet to a C64 to a 128 to an A1000 and now an
A3000, and the one thing that I have been unhappy with all these years
useing Commodore computers, is the company's idea of user support.
Just once I would like to be able to pick up the phone, call up CBM tell
them my problem and get a decent responce.
I almost switched to an (gods) IBM or MAC this time, but the Amiga is by
far and away the best machine for the $. I thought prehaps this time, I
would not have some major problem with the system when I get it. no such
luck. I find 25-30% of the software wont run an the A3000. This I
expected, but I did not expect them to sell something to a student no-less
that would not run without some major fixes.
Does CBM plan on releasing an A3000 compatible BB or are they going to
continue to advertise that it will work with the current ones?
