John, Feel much the same way about CW–I like it too! Kinda relaxing, and
you can slow down and try to say something relevant and concise instead of
just drivelling on like we hams are prone. Like the old time romance of
sitting and tapping out somthing halfway around the world or around the
block. Of course, I use a keyer, but do have and sometimes use a great old
brass key. Chris
Well what I like about CW is that being a DX'er without a giant antenna
farm can be a little frustrating, so a lot of my good DX contacts are down
on CW. There was a station in Mozambique a few months ago, a rare one on
phone or CW. He works CW exclusively, and likes to hide out on different
bands. So I found him on 17 meters and worked him on the first call using a
dipole and 100 watts. Now if he had been on 20-Phone I probably wouldn't
have had a chance. So while all those "Big Guns" are fighting it out on
Phone, I'll stick to CW 8^)
