I saw something about paying $58 for the OS/2 2.0 beta on the IBMOS2 forum just a few days ago. IBM has really cut their prices drastically to push OS/2 2.0! There is 1 Reply.

Wayne, I looked again in my official IBM Developer Assistance Program notebook and I found my copy of the offer. It was $50.00 but it only included the end user product (no development tools) (vs a v1.3 OS/2 RETAIL of $150.00) The letter was dated in June. In addition it stated "the significant areas missing are the new Workplace Shell and the ability to run protect mode Microsoft Windows applications. .. expected to be included in the next release of beta code later this summer." <they're gonna hafta hurry> Further: "Each beta release will be separately priced. The first release is priced at $50.00 per copy". Yikes! You pay for *each* beta release? <I hope Mark doesn't get any bright ideas from this>. Dan

Dan, Not to worry – that's *precisely* why we're doing the program via our BBS! Mark
