Ben, Little puzzled here. I looked a pic that I made some time back, Diadem.24 wherein I used the gradiant color fill that is in the process panel, not the one under paint. I was using an earlier version of IP then. Don't know which one. Well anyway, the background is very smooth, much better than the banding I have behind the Iguana. I tried to replicate the one in Diadem using the Paint panel area fill as well as going back to the process panel. Have you changed the fill algorithm? You can certainly see the difference between the two background.

The area fill in the process panel is a multiple-geometric area fill; it allows the fill to shade between up to five user-selected colors in various peculiar ways. The paint panel does not have a fill mode that duplicates the process 5 way fill. Sorry it took so long to answer you… When you, or anyone else, directs a message to "SYSOP", any one of about 15 people may be notified when they come in the forum…. me, perry, steve ahlstrom, etc. Whoever reads it, "knocks off" the "read this message" flag for the "sysop". Then, I don't see a notice… and there are times when I don't read everything (like when we're hot and heavy into development). I just use RM, which looks for messages to the Black Belt Systems PPN, and NOT to "sysop". Ben
