John,
So how about those model samples promised @ Siggraph? Want to
expedite some to me (strictly for in-office demo use)?

Where would I place the files so they could be down loaded by anyone in
this forum ? We would want to know who down loaded them, would it track
that. Should everyone else request the objects from us ?
We would also like to place our price list and sample catalog page
somewhere. Any Ideas ?
Look forward to three libraries for Comdex. (Air and Sea, Anatomy and
Vehicle collections) Price at $299 for each library with 10-15 objects in
each library. Any comments ?

John,
Just go ahead and upload files (ZIPped, preferably individually) to
Library 9 (what's New), along with a description. Do the same for your
price list, but you might want to upload that in text format, so that it
can be read on-line, as well as downloaded. Compuserve will not charge you
time for your upload. The Sysop, Jeffrey Pike, will merge them (make
available to the members) in a day or two. The only thing you can track is
# of downloads, not who downloads.

Kevin,
Thanks a ton for the information.
You can find several new entry's in the what's new section of Library's.
MESHES: This is a list of hundreds of 3D meshes and prices.
VP-5FREE.ZIP These are 5 objects we gave away at Siggraph.
SKELETON.GIF This is the rendered skeleton. Over 40,000 polygons. It
might have ended up in the 3DS library.
Let me know if there are some other meshes you would like take a look at.
Once again, thanks for helping us get going here ….
See you at COMDEX ???
John,
Well, if the files made it up alright, Jeffrey should merge them
soon. One note, Compuserve limits files to 6 character names + 3 character
extension. I won't be at Comdex (no rooms, for one – I waited until Sept.
9, should have reserved by Sept. 1. Besides, Comdex is no longer a dealer
show, it's an end user show now.

Kevin,
Comdex Vegas rooms are booked through the year 2008, at triple the
usual rate, (as opposed to merely double rates for SIGGRAPH) ! Do what I do
and make a one day commando raid, in early AM and out late night on
Southwest airlines, then take the next day off from work to recover ! I'll
be in on Tuesday only, spending most of my time at the Bally's multimedia
exhibits, and sticking around late enough for the armadillo races.

Kevin,
The Viewpoint Mesh list is called VPMESH in the "What's New" area.
Thanks, John Wright
Can you send me a press release and maybe a couple of samples of your 3DS
libraries? I am very interested in this.
