Yes, Poco is ANSI C compliant with a few exceptions and there is an fopen function too. The exceptions, in case you are interested, are: – No structure by value operations like Struct1=Struct2 or function(struct). ~ – The Ternary operator: expression ? expression : expression is not allowed. – No Unsigned data types. (unsigned keyword is ignored) – No Recursive macro definitions – Code labels don't have a seperate name space, this means you can't have a label with the same name as a var. – keywords conts, volatile, auto, and register are ignored. – float and doubles are both 64 bit floats. – type casting between pointers and integers are not allowed. This a side effect of the crash resistant pointer boundry checking. – no further cases are allowed in a switch statement after the default keyword. – booleans are always fully evaluated, not short cut evaluated – Functions must use ANSI C/C++ declarations like: int func(int x, int y) – double slash // comments are supported – all variables are inited to 0 or NULL if not explicitly inited. – NULL pointer references are trapped. – Out of bounds array indexes and pointer references are trapped. – You can declare a variable anywhere, not just at the start of a block (like in C++)
