Beware if you buy the Sony LaserLibrary of the fact that the program, although it installs into windows and make six cute little icons, cannot run as a windows application. They will only run as a DOS application in windows. This means that you won't be able to pull down the window for the dictionaries, excyclopedias, etc. in any windows application, i.e., Word for Windows, etc. You would have to task switch, use the program for lookups, etc., and then task switch back to your Win. application. The dictionaries, encyclopedia, likewise will load marked copy to a clipboard but it is NOT the clipboard in windows, so you cannot then paste that info into your Win. Application. It simply won't work. I think others should know this before they think they are getting something that WILL work in wondows; other than a DOS application. I was very unhappy to learn this since our main word processor is Word for Windows and the laser programs, even in their TSR modes will not work in windows and will not write data through the clipboard into windows apps. It would be very easy to make them do this and I hope Sony is working toward that goal for at least the NEXT release. There is 1 Reply.

Steve, I don't understand why you think it's a big flaw. I would much prefer the titles to be Windows apps myself, and you will see many such Multimedia Windows in the coming months and years, but it should NOT deter anyone from buying the LL packag Remember, ultimedia is brand new and it is NOT a quick process to create these titles. And why force everyone to have Windows to enjoy the titles? As for copying, you might be able to load the titles in a Windows window, instead of full screen, and copy that way. Greg
