I assume you want this for Animator or Animator Pro. The "Animals/Fantasy"
clip art disk has an animated ring of fire that's pretty realistic. It's in
320×200 and you probably couldn't use it, as is, for your application, but
you could look at it frame-by-frame and imitate the technique.
I don't know where you'd find the Animator Clips disks. Maybe there's a
dealer out there who can help on this?

The ring of fire that Jack mentioned is on the Animals/Fantasy clip as well
as on the new Multimedia Explorer CD-ROM. (which will e (be) shipping in a
couple of weeks) Plus, the CD-ROM contains a couple of flics of fire in a
fireplace which are quite good.
