#Quarterback upgrade
8 messages in this thread
Last week I received my upgrade from 4.2 to 4.3 of Quarterback. I could
not copy Quarterback off the disk because of read errors. I was able to
use disksalv to get the program off the disk, but when I restored some
files to my hard drive the program crashed after it had restored the files.
I think the disk may have been exposed to a magnetic field or something
since it had a lot of errors when I ran disksalv.
Should I send the disk back to get another copy, or can you just send
out another copy?

Kevin,
You will have to send the disk back to get a new one.

I am currently running QB on my Amiga 500 under WB 1.3 with the 1.2 roms.
Should I update to 4.3 as well? And if so (or when WB2 is available for
me) how do I get the update.

Bill and Rob,
Which version of Quarterback are you using Bill?
You do not actually need 4.3 to run under Workbench 1.3, but it is required
for Workbench 2.0. If you are using 4.0 or higher then to upgrade you can
send your original disk to:
Central Coast Software

The upgrade is free of charge for 4.0 or higher, otherwise there is a small
fee.

I just got Quarterback about 6 months ago when I got my 3000. The version
that is listed is 2.3. So far it has worked for me. You say the current
version is 4.3. I guess I got nailed by mail order again.
Could you give me a little more info on getting an upgrade?
Jeff,
The upgrade 2.x to 4.3 on Quarteback is $10. You must send your payment
and original disk to:
Central Coast Software
PO Box 164287

Thanks, I'll send the disk back ASAP.
I'm new to this forum … I have an Amiga 3000. I'm currently using
v4.0 of Quarterback and having some funny results with WB 2.0. Does
4.3 solve these problems? If so, where do I send and how much does
it cost for the upgrade?
