Steven: I'd agree that there are many poor quality (aka "cheaply made") Amiga programs. However, I also think that there is a growing number of high quality Amiga programs. I'd also agree that the focus of the Amiga software market needs to change. I think that feature-packed Amiga software that rivals similar packages on the Mac and PeeCee is long overdue. I also think that Amiga users should be willing to pay the price for this software. What we have here is a catch-22. Amiga users aren't willing to fork out the $$$ for software because of the credibility problem you mentioned, and Amiga developers can't afford to deliver first class software because users aren't willing to pay for it. I think both sides of the issue should re-evaluate their position. Quality software is _very important_ to the future of the Amiga. It doesn't matter how good the hardware gets if the software we're running isn't up to par with packages on other platforms. To be fair, the Mac and PeeCee have their fair share of "cheaply made" software too. They just have a lot more of it to choose from! 🙂 Wayne Steele Saving $ with AutoPilot
