A local computer store is selling ram, 16 mg chips, at an unbelievably good price ($300 less than everyone else). The ram meets all of the specs for my computer. My question is is there such a thing as bad ram and do I have cause for suspicion? I apologize for posting this in the 3DS forum but it is the only forum that I monitor and the memory is for 3DS use only.

*** is there such a thing as bad ram and do I have cause for suspicion? *** Yes RAM can be bad and I certainly would be suspicious. Not necessarily that they are selling defectives, but maybe "used" or "Hijacked". bill

Go for it but get a satisfaction guarantee. Plug it in and do a rendering of several frames that use all the ram and pages to the HD. If the ram is bad it will crash your system.

Harold; If the memory proves to be good, let me know what the computer store is and the phone number? I can always use some more RAM. Zac (AZ-TECH) Berkeley
