Sytos+ was mentioned as a choice for backup with an Adaptec/Exabyte combination, and was the only one I knew about so I bought it in spite of my experience with Sytos–, which someone here described as 'the worst backup package I've ever seen'. Which sentiment I echo. Anyway, Sytos+ is at least acceptable, but they still ought to look at some of the more popular packages for guidance in how to write a backup program. Exabyte, BTW, has about the friendliest and most accessable tech support staff in the business, surprising considering their monopoly on 8mm drives. They have a BBS, too, but prefer to deal with tech questions verbally. Nice folks.

Exabyte's BBS is *not* (303) 442-4343, that's a private residence. Exabyte's front desk is (303) 442-4333, their BBS is (303) 443-9512, and sales is (800) 392-2983, all in Boulder, CO. (I think at one point their BBS was at 442-4323.)
