IMPORTANT MESSAGE for argentine users (And travelers, too):
Until now, all argentine users (that includes myself!) were paying
extremely high connection charges to access CIS!. But now (hold on your
seats):
INFONET INSTALLED ITS FIRST ACCESS NODE IN BUENOS AIRES!.
At last argentine users can pay as if they call from Argentina, and not
from Mars!. This Infonet node is a real breakthrough since it brings down
to U$S 50 what used to cost $150/250 an hour using the called "CompuServe
Argentina" service which used the ARPAC PDN to make the connection.
So, in addition to Brazil Infonet is now in:
—————————————————————–
DATE OF CHANGE: 25 SEPTEMBER 92
LOCATION: BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA
ADDITION: (COUNTRY IDDD CODE IS 54)
ASYNC ACCESS 0/2400 (V21,V22, 1-953-0969
V22BIS,MNP-5)
—————————————————————–
And so much for the outrageously expensive "CIS Argentina".
