I have problems with two of your programs running on V2.04 Workbench. Problem 1 – Quarterback Tools V1.5 This program will not run at all. It crashes my Amiga 2000 immediately. Problem 2 – Quarterback V5.02 If this is the first program I select to run, it crashes my system immediately. It appears I always need to have some other program running before this will run. Paul, I don't have a real good answer on the problem with Tools as we have not seen this particular behavior. The problem that you are having with Quarterback 5.0.2 could have one of the following causes. 1. You are running an old GVP Series 1 hard disk controller that is not a SCSI Direct controller. In this instance Quarterback will present its about box and then hang during our SCSI Inquiry phase. Adding "NOSCSI" as a tooltype to the icon will allow Quarterback to run normally on such a system with the SCSI Direct Access disabled. 2. You may be running something earlier than 37.175 Kickstart check the about box on the workbench and verify that the Rom Image being loaded is release. 3. You may have a lurking Tape: device being mounted to accomodate the MR~Backup program. This mount will need to be commented out. 4. You may have the PLT: plotter emulater being mounted by a CAD program such as AEGIS Draw. This mount should be commented out before launching Quarterback. Check the contents of the Workbench Startup drawer and make sure that you are not running any utilities that are ill behaved. I have attempted to duplicate both of these problems using stock 2.0.4 workbench without success. I hope that this gives you someplace to start looking.
