Thank you for the prompt reply. I've been away for a bit.
I have a basic setup with digital sound modules, effects, keyboard controllers,
mixer and a PC with sequencing software.
You nailed it when you brought up SMPTE Time Code. I need to learn more about
exactly how this is done. My sequencing program has full SMPTE integration and
works great in that time format. However, I don't own my own SMPTE processor
and have not locked onto a film soundtrack yet.
My first (and only) film score/soundtrack was accomplished by using a visual
lockup using the SMPTE clock on the digital film editor and the SMPTE clock on
my PC. A bit rough, but it was a start and the film works well.
I've been focused on writing for a long time and now I'm trying to learn the
technical end of it. Any more advise is welcome.
