Amiga Users, My Diablo C-150 broke and I was looking for a replacement. I use perfect vision to do color digitizing from video sources. I print with deluxe photo lab. I wanted to make sure my new printer would be supported by Amiga's and DOS machines. I went to my local software shop and they suggested I purchase a HP 500C and drive it with a printer driver from Creative Focus called Super_DJC. The package promised 16 grey scales and all 4096 colors. So I bought the Printer and the driver. when I got home I printed grey scale and HAM photos and compared them with ones I had printed on my Diablo. The 500C prints were terrible. the printer boasts 300 dpi, but the prints appear VERY coarse. I set the graphic 1 and 2 parameters as the software suggested. I've seen Amiga files printed on 500c's and they look good. How can I achive the same results? Thanks for your help. Brad.

Brad, I was dissapointed at first as well. I did a lot of playing around with the density settings (especially in Workbench – I found that some programs' density settings wouldn't work). You'll also have to "touch up" some pictures – lighten them, use brighter colors, etc. Bob K.
