I picked up version 2.0 of the Janus software today thinking that it was
the version that worked under AmigaDos 2.04 . It wasn't, but I did get a
proper set of disks and a newer manual out of the deal. The A2286/A2088
manual is much clearer to read than the A2088 manual was. With the manual
I was finally able to use MakeAB and now have a bootable HD device for the
BB. Though of course I'm never quite satisfied, I'd like the BB to not
poll the Floppy drive so long (about 20 secs) before going to the HD.
I was also able to get the mouse to work on the PC side, kinda. Mahjongg
doesn't seem to recognize it, but Compress does.
I'm dissapointed that the RAM expansion chapter is actually shorter,
'cause I still can't get my Rampage! board to be recognized by my A2088.
What is a logical page? Where is the logical page? No-one seems to know.

The 386 manual is better than any of the previous ones. I guess Commodore
DOES learn from its customers!
Are you using an 8088 BB? If so, you can only use an 8-bit expanded memory
board, not extended memory. Your PCPrefs need to be set for E000, so you
can use the D000 block for the memory board. Expanded memory needs a 64K
block that it uses as a "page frame" (maybe the same thing as a virtual
page), through which it swaps memory in and out.
Others have used the RAMpage. Drop a note to Ben Lott–he's used it
successfully.

Install program that will do almost everything that you need to do.
