Scott, Just tried out the GIFDXF program – made some homemade terrain! Works great. I used ANIPRO, 800×600, made a palette with lots of greys. Drew a contour map of a river and mountains and filled the contours with greys. Used Apply Ink repeatedly with JUMBLE & SOFTEN inks & saved the file. Used GIFDXF /X80 /Y110 /S100 file.GIF file.DXF to create the dxf. Loaded it into 3DS, auto-smoothed to 45 degs, applied a green matte, used one light. The result was a great valley scene with some very rugged mountains. The whole process took less than an hour. Try it, you'll like it! JKJ (PS, support SHAREWARE, ya'll!)
