Betty< I typed the two commands you gave me and they were successful, however
while they were loading they stopped because I didn't have enough me
I'm glad they were successful, Joan.
For more memory – shut down everything that is running except those programs
until you get things unpacked. Do you have at least 2M of memory? AutoPilot
will not run with less.

Joan is running an A1200. Have been following another thread where she is
either running into memory or disk space problems (she does have the standard 2
MB chip and an additional 4 MB fast), so unless she has a whole whack of
programs loading up at startup it looks like a HD space problem.

Thanks, Trent. I did not recall which system she was using. I suspect hard
drive space is the trouble, then. We all have trouble keeping our hard drives
cleaned up, don't we?

Ah, it is a chore <g>. The problem is I'm a packrat when it comes to
applications. Stuff I've never used (or have used once or twice in the last
six months) I let sit as I tell myself, 'Sure you've only used it once, but
that does not mean you will not use/need it in the future'. My solution is to
always get myself another bigger HD. <sigh>

I have a huge box of C64 disks in a closet. I know that I'll never look at any
of them again, but I cannot bring myself to toss them out. How's THAT for
being a packrat? (I do still have a C64SX on which they *could* run, as well
as a C128. I haven't used the C128 since QLink closed down in October, and it
must be years since I turned on the C64SX.)

Me, too. In fact, I even have a few of the OS versions prior to 1.0, and some
of the demo things that were going around before the Amiga actually was
available. I keep far too many things of that sort!
