2.01 is a free update to all 3DS owners, by the way. Just return your Serialized number 1 disk to your dealer, and they will send it back to Autodesk for the upgrade. Should take 2 weeks or so, based on prior experience. Even though the update is free, the dealer will probably charge a minor shipping/handling fee to cover their costs. Usually averages $10 to $20. Such a deal!!!!

I encourage anyone who's planning on getting into the new IPAS routines to get their upgrade in gear _immediately_. – G

Whine down below. Read at your own risk… I just went through a 8 week ordeal to get my copy of 3DS. The infamous local "Authorized Autodesk Dealer" debited my credit card five minutes after my call and I received the stuff 8 weeks later after lots of phone calls and lots of argument. All this to find out he had debited an extra 10% for "Handling Charge". This is crazy. And now, three weeks later yet a newer upgrade? Am I obligated to go back there to get it? What does Autodesk think I am? A mazoquist? Why can't they handle the upgrade directly? A phone call to give my credit card number and address (they should already have it). That's all I care. Please, please, don't send me back there!!! :):):)

Sorry Gus, but I've got absolutely not control over how updates are handled. I empathize with your awful experience with that dealer, and you can call Autodesk and complain about him. However, to get the update, you've got to go back to your dealer. (and don't delay… I recommend getting the update asap) – G

Gus: There are a lot of 3DS dealers – and a few good ones. Tell us where you are, and maybe we can recommend someone who won't try and scew you around. Evan
