Sandy Seems to me the problem is almost certainly with that Tools-path statement; I suspect WFW is using that to get at not only the user's guide, but probably also other modules of the program. So, when you accept the "invalid path" message, WFW continues running until it needs something from the CD-Rom, at which point it fails to find what it needs, and bombs. I don't have the CD-Rom version of WFW yet, so cannot duplicate your problem here. But, one suggestion would be to uninstall the program, getting rid of all associated .ini files as well as any statements in your win.ini or system.ini files which refer to WFW. Also check if it put anything in OEMSETUP.INF (not likely, but possible) and edit all of it out (DO backup all the files before changing them!). Re-boot Windows and close all running applications which may have been launched by your Startup group or by the load= or run= commands. Now try a clean re-install from the ROM and see if you still have the same problem … if you do, I think your last recourse is to either call MS tech support, or GO MSWORD here on CI$ and leave a message for tech. support there. I'll be interested to hear how it all works out as I should be getting my WFW CD-ROM upgrade soon. Ric
