I wondered if there's some driver required to connect a CDROM (SONY 535) to
a Soundblaster card. There's a pair of RCA output connectors which I
thought I could connect to the stereo input port of the Soundblaster. Only
when I do so, no music plays. Is there some driver I am missing or that
came with my Soundblaster that I might be loading incorrectly?
Any help would be appreciated.

You need run the SB-SET program. It sets the line inputs (one of which is
that CD input you're using) to whatever volume you want. The line in
defaults to 0 (no sound) if I remember correctly. You can't hear much if
the volume is off, eh?
