D-Studio Magazine?

I'll second Alan's endorsement of 3D Artist and also suggest that you pick
up a copy of CADalyst. CADalyst is an AutoCAD magazine, but it has
increasingly been providing more and more coverage of 3D Studio. There's a
monthly 3D Corner column dealing with 3D Studio, and we have reviews coming
up on a number of 3rd party IPAS routines. We'll also have an increasing
number of 3D Studio tips and tricks articles and application stories. And
CADalyst's February issue is traditionally focuses pretty specifically on 3D
Studio.
CADalyst is available on newstands and may also be stocked by your 3D Studio
dealer. You can also call the publisher at (503) 343-1200 and see if you can
get a sample copy.

Hea … how long have you been lerking around this forum <g>. Hope
all is going well. How is Power Tools doing? I've been absent from
the ACAD forum ever since we took on 3DS. Hope to see'ya here more
often.

I'm in here every day. I just don't have as much to say. <G>
Sales of Architecture Power Tools are going well. Right now I'm
finishing up documentation for version 1.5 of Facade, our new
face-based architectural modeler for AutoCAD. You might want to take
a look at this one. It's going to sell for $189 and is simply the
fastest and easiest way to create 3D architectural models. I can
build an entire house in about 20 minutes and the model is ready to
bring into 3D Studio.
David,
Send me a copy. I'll show it at the next user group and maybe to a little
write-up in our newsletter.

I assume that we were talking about Facade. We'll have a demo version
available in a week or so. It's just coming out of beta now and I'm
finishing up the documentation. Send me your address.

If you have a demo of PT also, that would help. I have quite a few
architectural clients who I have mentioned your product to in the past, but
alas (I love it when I can use that word <g>) have had nothing to show them.
Good luck,

PMJI, David, I spoke to someone in Tech. Support last month who was
going to see about a copy for me. Perhaps I would be better to find
out if it was actually shipping before I get on him for not following
up. Is it? James M. Murphy
