Ok, found the problem. The Zeus needs 68040.library v37.4. 3.1 installed 37.3. I don't understand the numbering conventions. Shouldn't xx.4 be later than xx.3? sigh Now to finger out Mosaic and how to make the Picasso play those AGA games. Feel free to add advice on that. So far, getting nowhere fast. Thanks for the replies I haven't read yet. <grin> It's not what I don't know, it's what I've forgotten… -DonM – On Autopilot from 1Q1 – Chickenlips doesn't sell Amigas, we just buy them!

3.1 probably installed 68040.library version 37.30. CBM used a version numbering scheme that counted like regular numbers. So 37.30 would be a newer version than 37.4, 37.9, etc. And as I understand it, 37.4 does work better with some of the older accelerators. // John (Warp 4040 & Emplant Quadra 840) \X/ Mercury@ins.infonet.net

John, I am having trouble getting my sisters Emplanted A4000 to boot from her hard drive with OS 3.1. There is drive activity, but the screen remains black. She has a C= 1080 monitor. When I select the custom boot screen and select boot with startup- sequence bypass, I can access the programs on the hard drive via the shell. Her system worked fine under 3.0. What do think the problem might be. Do I need to write a special assign statement so system 3.1 is recognized on boot up as being installed on the hard drive? Help! Thanks, Marty
