I was wondering, does anyone have any idea as to where I can buy some Black
Bamboo or Giant Bamboo plants? I have some "Black" now that I bought for $40 a
piece and they aren't Black but mottled – a different variety entirely. Thank

Black Bamboo comes up green and gradually turns black. It might be, if the
culm (cane) is this year's growth that it is black bamboo turning black. There
is a mottled variety (much prized in Japan) call Bory which is mottled. There
are several Giant bamboos, a temperate bamboo, Phyllostachys pubescens, and the
tropical Giant Timber Bamboo, Bambusa oldhamii. I sell Black Bamboo and the
