I went the Compose/Controls/Transparency Channels path to adjust the transparency of a merge. I found the three channels with buttons to click them on and off, and a large blank panel underneath. Calling up the help function, it indicated that sliders were supposed to be there. There weren't any. Seems like the gadgets for those channels have vanished! (Clicking the buttons on and off didn't make any sliders show up — I tried that.) The multiframe sequencer actions when processing an "anim" file gets curiouser and curiouser. Sometimes things fall apart on frame 3, sometimes 4, and sometimes it runs to unknown parts and gets images that haven't even been referenced — maybe a buffer someplace — and does a couple of frames before it says it can't find the image file. Maybe I'm trying something IM can't do. I just want to add some processing effects to animation frames in a file and store the processed frames to another animation file. JEB

Er – there are NOT supposed to be sliders there. The channels are on/off; adjusting the transparency is done in (a) the blend control panel, (b) the Other Options subpanel of the blend control or (c) in an alpha channel buffer (blend). I'll pass this along to the doc types on Tuesday. Thanks! Regarding the anim stuff, what you're trying to do it SHOULD do; Would you send us the source anim and anything else relevant to the process? We'll try and figure out what's happening and fix it.

It's supposed to be able to – just pick the anim file and run. –Ben …via AutoPilot

I tried it Ben, the Sequence loader loads and processes the first frame and then quits. Any ideas? The thing I'm trying to do is Add FX to an EXISTING anim. So I want the Seq loader to load each frame of the anim Sequentially and add the Grid and solar FX to it and then save back out to another Anim file. If I put the Same # of copies of the Anim file in the Seq loader as there are frames will THIS work???? Thanx for yer help Ben

I'll put this to the programmer; he's on vacation till the beginning of next week (well deserved, I might add) so it'll be a few days before we have info.

No big Rush Ben. Just an idea I had. I am going to use that Solarized/Gridded anim to simulate a Androids POV ala Terminator. Will probably add some gibberish msgs to the anim as well.
