Mark,
Tell him to send the mail to 72703.1214@compuserve.com. That should
do the trick.
Sean.
Mark,
just to add to what has already been said, make absolutely sure that he
knows to use a period in place of the comma. To internet, our user id's
have periods, not commas.
Hi,
i recieved his test file tonite.. what an address he has.. talk about
some confusing stuff. from what he says the internet is huge. tons of
files if he could figure out how to get at them.
anyway i sent him a reply using the "reply" command in e-mail. will
that get it back to him? alls it asked me for was my name.
this may become interesting.

Mark,
Your brother-in-law will need to learn how to use the FTP protocol, and
will need to know the names of FTP sites where files are stored. He will
also need to understand how to determine when a file is in compressed
(binary) format, and when it is not since he will have to set his FTP
session for ASCII (eg; text) or BINARY (compressed) before performing a
file download (GET). Also, the exact filename must be used – proper case
IS required by most systems.
