Forum centric vendors

In a recent thread (or two) there were several comments re the
advisability of purchasing from vendors and dealers who are "present"
and active on one or more CIS forums – or even electronic mall
vendors. In my limited experience I would certainly second this
opinion. Not only is the basic time and effort that these vendors
invest in participating in the forums a sign of their commitment to
their customers, but their willingness to swallow hard at times and
withstand the "slings and arrows" of unhappy customers is surely a
clear sign of their desire to improve their product or service.
Witness the forum floggings that Gateway has endured on CIS! [And yes
I followed these floggings for some time and then made a decision to
purchase a Gateway system based in part by the patience and courtesy
of their reps on the forum frontline.]
Anyhow, this does bring up a rather obvious question: Is there any
library file or other source that can provide information about which
of the smaller vendors and dealers are "regulars" on this particular
forum? Or is it a matter of regular trolling through the threads? Or
basically just resort to lobbing a query into a forum and see who
responds? For example, I have an interest in the new Sanyo S-VHS
deck. <g>
