Are there any public domain, shareware or commercial FAX software I
can try out with my new PM14400FXMT fax modem? I kinda liked the
idea of GVP's PhonePaK, but someone told me it is hardware specific
and wouldn't work with my A1200 and a phone call AND fax to GVP has
yielded no response. I have heard off GPFax, but I haven't seen it
at any of my local stores.
If your PM14400FXMT is new, and supports CLASS 2 fax (which I think
it does, GPFAX should do the trick. You can get it from your dealer,
or from Supra (make sure you ask for the generic class 2 version).
GPFax is a good product. I am using it with a ZOOM fax modem and
apart from a small problem with working with Wordworth, the word
processor, It works well. Greg Perry, the president of GPFax phone me
today about this problem, all the way from Australia! Unfortunately,
he got my answering machine.
