HIGHSPEED PROBLEMS
1 messages in this thread
I'm having a serios problem with my highspeed modem. I do own a TKR
highspeedmodem with 14400 Bds max speed. Well I'm encountering
problems sending data at 14400 Baud. Receive is fine, but if i try to
send data, I observe errors. I havent't found what the problem is.
After takling to TKR i sent the modem back, but they returned it to
me commenting that there is no problem with the modem. After that I
did bring the A2000 with turbocard to a shop , but they told me the
same. Computer as well as modem are fine. So I'm kind of lost now.
Since the computer is fine, and the Modem is fine I do not understand
what the problem is. I am able to receive data at 14400 without any
errors, but sending data causes errors, which basically results in an
transferrate of approx 1200 instead of an actuall rate of 1600
should be reached using V42.bis at 14400 baud. Since I'm having
problems getting any useful information at local Bulletinboards I
appreciate ifbody at CS nows what the problem can be. I did try a
different modem on my computer which worked fine. Though on the other
side my modem worked fine on his amiga too. So things are really
confusing. It doesn't make sense, that the other modem workes fine on
my computer, but mine doesn't not. The other problem is , that I
haven't had any success sending a fax on that partikular modem.
Receiving a fax was fine. I hope that I described the problem
enough. If anybody knows anything or had a similar problem before,
please give me a hint. Any suggestion will be appreciated. I did
try the obvious already. switching 8520 chips. I tryed all possible
modemsettings, but nothing works. Help…Help… I do not know what
else to do. Thanks……. ===> Harald Ackermann wit Autopilot from
