#FLI and FLC to AVI ?

I am interested in converting FLI and FLC files to AVI format to use
with Authorware. Can anyone provide some assistance on how to do it?
Is there a routine or program that will convert these files to AVI?
how about video for windows? I think I heard hereabouts that it would
do such a thing…
Video for Windows will definitely do the job, but you might want to do
some homework on MCI animation commands for controlling FLC files
directly. VFW can yield questionable results when converting FLC
files.
There is an MCIVLAN driver for using a V-LAN compatible controllers. Give me
your mail addres and I will send it to you.
We have a program called the Audio Visual Recorder which can convert
FLIs and FLCs to AVIs and vice versa. It is a reliable and easy to
use converter. It will also allow you to capture AVIs from your
video source. Its Video for Windows compatible and costs $149.00.

Does this program work with Quicktime? IE. converting to<->from?
At present we do not support the conversion of AVI to Quicktime. I
believe that there is a program out there that can do it, but I am
afraid I don't have any details on it.
Our program is a Windows based program which has been primarily
designed to help you to capture video using a video capture card. The
video can be saved in the AVI file format, but we also have the
capability of loading and saving FLIs, FLCs, WAVs, and series of TGAs
and BMPs. If you unable to find an AVI to/from Quicktime converter
you could save the video as a sequence of TGAs and (I guess) convert
them between the two file formats.
You will need to check whether you can convert a series of TGAs into
a Quicktime file as I don't have a MAC so I haven't tried it.If it is
please let me know.
What I'd like to do is import some 3DS animations into Macromedia
Director. One solution is to convert sequential TGA's into PICT's,
then import them into Director, but the only way that I know to do
the conversion on a PC is one frame at a time with a paint program.
Pretty laborious after a few hundred frames!
PMJI, but image alchemy should be able to convert .tga files to pict
or pict2 files for you in a batch. I have the commercial version but
you can get the shareware version on CI$ (imagalc.zip or imgalc.exe)
which is fully functional except it's limited to 640×480 resolution
images.

You should check into Debabelizer. 415/332-4343. They like to
convert Flics to Quicktime! P.S. Thanks to Mark Gerhardt for
suggesting this.
